Q: Will this fit any and all garage doors?

A: It is designed to be used with most garage doors which feature panels that are hinged which allow the door to follow a standard garage door track. You may have to make some adaptations for it to work on your door.

Q: Can this be used on a double-door?

A: We have not thoroughly tested this on double door garages, so at this time we do not recommend it.

Q: Do I need to lock the door before tilting the panel?

A: Only if you want the highest security. If you don’t care that much about someone lifting up your door, you don’t have to lock it as long as the door stays closed when disengaging your garage door opener (that all depends on how your springs are balanced with the weight of the door). If you don’t have an opener, it’s best to just keep the door locked.

Q: I’m having a hard time retracting the wheels from my track.

A: Try wiggling the top panel back and forth a little bit while retracting the wheel.

Q: What do I do if there isn’t enough room for the wheel to retract?

A: You may have to adjust the tracks out a little bit and/or move the hinges inward towards each other.
